Formed in Minneapolis Minnesota in 1990 by guitarist Wade Laszlo of Acheron along with former Acheron bassist, Chris Magras and drummer John "Bono" Ryan of Bent Vengance. This seminal line-up recorded the 1992 demo entitled "Darkness Dawns" and their first full length release "Garden of Souls". With the departure of Ryan, The Unholy recruited former Acheron drummer Tom Croxton and recorded "As Below, So Above" and "Ash Wednesday". In 1999 Croxton left to join Impaler and was replaced with drummer Rick O'Leary recorded on "Magick of the Darkland" in 2003. |
